Congratulations to our Teacher Nominees for the Spirit of St. Vincent de Paul Award!
DePaul is proud to give thanks to all of our current hard working and dedicated teachers who serve our students and families as well as those staff who have gone before us.
As a way to lift up, praise and honor our teachers, the first annual Spirit of St. Vincent de Paul Award is awarded to a teacher whose dedication to the DePaul community has enriched the lives of students, staff, and members of our broader community. Through their dedicated service, they have personified the values of St. Vincent, giving selflessly and collaboratively to enrich the lives of others.
We share our gratitude for all you have given and continue to give!
And the nominees are…
“Ms. Trice has been a teacher at DePaul for over 13 years. She loves her job and the children she teaches. Not only is she great at what she does, she is also thoughtful, caring, and a dedicated hard worker. Teachers don’t get enough credit for what they do and Gina is an exceptional teacher and deserves to be celebrated,” – Nominated by community member and a parent. Gina serves on DePaul’s Culture Committee (helps implement the school’s values and mission among students and staff), runs Catholic Schools Week, organizes Prayer Partners and service projects and has an exceptional relationship with families.
“Ms. Quigley has served at DePaul for nearly 2 decades! She has taught 4th grade, art and music, set up our school library, organizes Reading Olympics, our school supplies, and plans school celebrations and festivities. Ms. Quigley is a true disciple of the Vincentian tradition. She is an unsung hero that has helped our school in so many ways,” Nominated by fellow staff members.
“As a teacher who has dedicated 30 years to DePaul, Mr. Leonard is part of DePaul’s legacy. He is polite, an excellent teacher that demands high standards and a friend to students and their families. He is kind, caring and goes beyond his duties as a teacher to be a gentleman and teach students to be the same,” – Nominated by parents and fellow staff members.
“This is Mr. Visco’s fourth year at DePaul. He takes the time with each pre-kindergarten student to address their daily and ever changing needs. He is an excellent role model for the littlest students,” – Nominated by parent. He serves on DePaul’s Culture Committee (helps implement the school’s values and mission among students and staff), is a Teacher Leader and committed to building DePaul’s pre-kindergarten program as the best in the region.
“While serving as a teacher at DePaul several years ago, Mr. Dolan was gifted and caring. He went onto serve as the Development director, tirelessly working to sustain and build the school community with enormous success. Presently, Mr. Dolan serves as a board member and continues to be committed to the mission of DePaul. His faith is a large part of who he is and in this way, he has shined in all of his roles at DePaul,” – Nominated by community member.
