This will be the last letter I write to all of you as principal of DePaul Catholic School. I am filled with a tremendous sense of gratitude for the students, parents, faculty and staff I have been privileged to work with each and every day. All have given so much to support the mission of DePaul Catholic School.
When I think of my thirteen years many stories and faces come to my mind. I have had the joy of watching students enter kindergarten clinging to a parent to walking down the aisle at graduation with their head held high proud of the work they have accomplished using the talents God has given them. I have watched our graduates come back to visit to share the excitement of their high school experiences and shout to the mountaintops as they receive their acceptances into college. I have had the privilege of watching a generation of Philadelphia’s finest children grow and mature. I am humbled by that experience. I have had the opportunity to become a part of your families. You have welcomed me into your times of joy and sorrow. The love and sacrifice I witness each and every day as you struggle to provide the gift of education to your children resonates deep in my heart. I could never thank you enough for this gift!
The wonderful surprise gift at Clementon Park on Friday of NY Giant memorabilia as well as a gift certificate to Stub Hub to purchase tickets to the NY Giant vs Atlanta Falcons game was beyond my wildest dreams! I cannot thank you enough!
I am including my new address and school phone number in this letter and hope that you will continue to let me know how your wonderful children are growing and succeeding as well as how your extended family is doing. I promise to continue to pray for all of you as I move to the “deep” south! Please pray for me as I begin my new ministry at St. Peter Claver Catholic School that God will guide and support me in my work and will bring amazing people into my life in Macon just as God did in Philadelphia!
