A variety of extracurriculars are available to DePaul Catholic School students as young as three. From the baselines of the basketball court to the risers of the choir loft, sports, service projects, and activities are the components that round out the education and development of our incredible students. Below is a list of some of the 2015-16 offerings here at DePaul.

The DePaul Catholic School Dance Team. Students in grades 6-8 are eligible. Contact coach Camille Moten for more info
In September, the student body elects officers and classroom representatives for student council. Monthly meetings are conducted by the Student Council President and Vice President. (Moderator: Mr. Leonard)
In grades 6-8, students learn the game of chess and play against each other and the teachers! (Moderator: TBD)
The Student Ambassadors are the distinguished student representatives of our school. These students are hand picked and assist with Open Houses and Student Tours. (Moderator: Ms. Moten)
Students in grades 4-8 are challenged to read during organized sessions held before and after school. The book list is provided by Philadelphia READS which is used in a city-wide, Jeopardy-style reading competition for the Philadelphia Reading Olympics. (Moderators: Mr. Stewart and Mrs. Quigley)
Dancing Classrooms Ballroom Classes
All students in 5th grade get to experience ballroom dance lessons through a program called Dancing Classrooms Philadelphia! For three months, an instructor comes in twice a week to teach styles such as the Salsa, Tango, Foxtrot, Mambo and more! Select students are chosen in December to compete at the city-wide semi-finals.
Story and Poetry Slams
5-8 graders learn how to write, develop and perform original stories and poems. Public speaking and oration are practiced. (Moderator: Mr. Clark)
The DePaul Catholic School is proud to celebrate many time honored extracurricular traditions each year including the Pre-K through 4 Halloween Party, the Turkey Bowl, the DePaul Walk-A-Thon Fundraiser, the Scholastic Book Fair, the Craft Fair, the DePaul Christmas Concert, the Middle School Science Fair, Fun Day, Field Day, and the Student and Faculty Talent Show!
