“We should assist those who are vulnerable in every way and do it both by ourselves and by enlisting the help of others. To do this is to preach the gospel by words and work.”
These words from St. Vincent de Paul speak to the mutual benefit of helping others, something we strive to also encourage in our students.
From time to time, we too, need hands on help from volunteers at DePaul. Volunteerism offers a unique way to experience our incredible school community first hand.
Volunteers help with a variety of projects, including organizing books and classroom materials, clerical assistance such as preparing weekly folders for families, special projects such as organizing games for indoor recess, tutoring middle school students during our extended day program and various cleaning and beautification projects throughout the year. In addition, we occasionally need regularly scheduled help during lunch time.
If you are interested in volunteering your time or skills, please call Kelly Bielby, Development Director at 215-842-1266 or send an email to email@example.com.
DePaul requests that all volunteers possess a positive attitude, good communication skills, a respectful and moral code of conduct, and sensitivity to working in a diverse, multi-cultural environment. All volunteer opportunities are contingent upon an acceptable background check report and successful completion of volunteer orientation.
